Death in Custody: A Conversation on Justice, Medicine, and Accountability
The Cook County Physicians Association is proud to collaborate with Trinity United Church of Christ’s Church in Society and Prison Ministries for a thought-provoking discussion on Death in Custody: How America Ignores the Truth and What We Can Do About It.
This important conversation will feature Dr. Roger A. Mitchell, Jr., 126th President of the National Medical Association and board-certified forensic pathologist, as he explores the intersection of medicine, public health, justice, and accountability. Attendees will gain insight into the systemic issues surrounding deaths in custody and the role physicians, faith communities, and civic leaders can play in advancing truth, transparency, and meaningful change.
