21 Oct Bronzeville street renamed after trailblazing doctor Lydia Eudora Ashburne
CCPA’s President Dr. Audrey Tanksley was thrilled to be part of today’s street naming ceremony honoring one of Chicago’s pioneering Black female physicians! 🎉 A huge congratulations to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for their dedication in making this historic moment happen. Special thanks to Congresswoman Robin Kelley, City Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin, Alderman Lamont Robinson, and all the officials who came out to celebrate. And, of course, a heartfelt recognition to the family for keeping her powerful legacy alive. Together, we keep building a brighter future!  If you’re in the area check it out on the corner of 3900 S King DriveÂ
